Formerly called "Medical Theme", this pattern pack has been updated to include a full new sheet of designs, an additional size and has been renamed "Nursing School".
Drawing from my own experience in Nursing School, I designed this pack of patterns to include items that are useful to almost anyone in the medical field. These patterns would be fun to stitch up for someone in your life who works in the healthcare industry, someone currently going to school for a medical profession, a special healthcare worker that helped you in your time of need, or even someone who is under the weather who you wish to get well soon.
The patterns are original drawings of mine and include: a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, IV bag, syringe, prescription bottle, pills, medical bag, EKG wave, cotton swab, cotton balls, tongue depresser, specimen tube, bandage, clip board, scrub top, scrub bottoms, tympanic membrane thermometer, penlight with pupil gauge, bandage shears, tuning fork and a reflex hammer. Also included are the following abbreviations (with the meaning in parentheses): "Rx" (prescription), 98.6 (average temperature), 110/70 mm Hg (a blood pressure reading in millimeters of Mercury), D5W (Dextrose 5% in Water - an IV solution), b.i.d. (twice daily), PO (by mouth), prn (as needed), gtt (drops), and q4h (every four hours).
